Cadix moves 80% of production from China to Holland

Plant pot company Cadix is moving production to Tilburg in Holland.

Cadix managing director Kate Ebbens said increases in wages in China and being able to control the product better had prompted the move. There will also be a lower carbon footprint and lower transport costs.

Cadix launched its new range of indoor planters at Glee. The planters "have been created to reflect nature in both their design and manufacturing process".

These new indoor planters were displayed within the Glee Retail Lab’s Re-Wilding area.

Ebbens said: "The move into interiors is also aligned with our business development plans, which will see all our production moved to Holland by the new year. The move to more localised producers means we can better ensure product quality and have a closer relationship with our manufacturing partners, enabling us to quickly develop new concepts, designs and ranges to suit ever changing consumer trends, both exterior and interior."
